The Lighthouse Keeper

After seeing my work online, I was commissioned by Universal Studios to create the artwork for singer-songwriter Sam Smith’s 2020 Christmas single, 'The Lighthouse Keeper'.  The illustration was based on the famous Turnberry Lighthouse in Ayrshire, which you may recognise from TV coverage of golf’s Open Championship. The monochrome style of my work matched the brief and style of the song, and after completing a larger drawing for the surrounding coastal scene, a crop of the lighthouse itself was used for the single artwork. I supplied digital proofs and a hard-copy for the final sign-off. The hardest part was keeping it all secret until the record was released.
